A Registered Prefix is a combination of letters, words, or names proceeding or following a registered name and is used exclusively by the owner of the prefix.
Prefixes must meet the following criteria:
The prefix is not the complete name of a previously registered Moriesian or a previously recorded prefix.
Each breeder must be a member of the MHR and can only register one prefix.
Until registered the prefix is not exclusive to the user and may be used by anyone until reserved.
Your prefix must be used exactly as recorded. Remember, a horse's registered name cannot exceed a maximum total of 25 spaces including your prefix.

Brand Recognition:
A breeding farm prefix helps establish a recognizable brand. When others see the prefix, they immediately associate it with your farm, which can help build your reputation within the equestrian community.
Marketing Advantage:
A unique prefix makes your horses stand out in competitions, sales, and advertisements. It acts as a marketing tool that highlights your farm’s involvement in producing quality horses.
Legacy Building:
A prefix helps in building a legacy for your breeding farm. Over time, as more successful horses carry your prefix, it contributes to the long-term reputation and historical significance of your breeding program.
